Couples Counselling
Having Couples Counselling is not a sign of a broken relationship, it' a commitment to building a stronger one through honest communication, mutual growth and deeper understanding.
When working with a couple in therapy my aim is to provide you both with a safe, non judgemental and confidential space to explore any issues or concerns you may be experiencing in your relationship.
Whether you’re facing communication challenges, navigating conflicts, or struggling with intimacy, couple counselling offers a unique opportunity to gain new perspectives of each other and learn new ways of being together. This is often enabled by improving communication and exploring differences, conflict styles, intimacy and identifying both partners wants and needs.
If you are looking for relationship support in Godalming or Headley, I offer a compassionate space to support you in your journey towards a healthier and more fulfilling partnership. My role as your therapist is to support you both in a caring and non-judgemental way, to facilitate good communication between you and help you find the way forward that is right for each of you.
Our first appointment will be an opportunity for us to meet and for you to share the issues that bring you to couples counselling as well as being be an opportunity for you both to ask me any questions you may have. We will also decide together whether I am the professionally the right person to support you in therapy. I will email you both some forms to complete individually and return to me in advance of this appointment.
If we agree to proceed I would normally then see you individually for a 50 minute session. After this we will usually come back together for regular weekly 50 minute sessions. We will regularly review your progress together and when appropriate work towards and ending of the therapy.
